Crystal-Chip Installation Problems
Crystal-Chip Installation Problems –
Okay, this is my first PS2 modchip install. I got the entire thing connected and when I turn on the PS2 there is no video or audio and the light on the modchip stays lit green. It says in the the FAQ that it's because of bad BIOS wire connections or the wires are in the wrong place. I cut the 3V wire just to check and the PS2 works fine. Now I just need to know which wires are the BIOS wires so I don't have to redo all of them.
Also, I didn't route my wires very well, there is an inch or two of extra slack that I kinda just bent back and electrical taped down to the board, would this cause this problem?
Check your install on P,O,M,N and Q,T,U,V,R,W and measure the little fuse that you soldered the 3v on cause if thats broken there is no video or audio.
And if your W is wrong or connected to the pad next to it it stays all black screen
I have already finished installing the chip. I just redid all of the wires and it works fine now. Thanks for the help though.
I try install Infinity chip on old 30004 many time, and it didn't work.
I take CC v1.1 and it did not work too. LED lightning 1sec and off, but not original disk not started. CC firmware v19 disk do not start - not PS/PS2 disk
. Que: can I make alter HA connection at back side PCB near A, B, I.
I see diff with TO on CC v1.0 and v1.1 - is it true?
Sounds like you blew a fuse.
