Crystal Chip and HDD, a little help please.
While I have a few different minor issues with my current setup, I figure Ill just work them out one at a time.
I have a SCPH-50001 3c (v9) with Crystal Chip Pro 2.0 SLE network adapter and Sony 40 gig HDD. I hooked my Sony HDD up to my computer and formatted the drive and renamed the drive Crystal (one large partition.) I downloaded HDLoader 8B ISO and made a CD out of it. I loaded the CD up in to my playstation and it said the HDD needed to be formatted, so I did. HDLoader can be used on my HDD now but my chip doesnt see the HDD nor list it as a place to there I can install to it allows me to install the flash, to the memory cards and so forth but no HDD.
What I want to do is set up my HDD to have a very clean file architecture so Games will be in their folders Applications in there on folders, system setting in its own folders ETC
*Example of architecture *
Games/RPG/FinalFanasy
Or
Apps/Media/SMS
Apps/Network/etc
Then just have crystal chip load whatever app or game from the HDD I so command. Of course for writing to the HDD I ether load up HDLoader from the HDD or from the CD. But this doesnt seem to be working and Ive found no real guide on how to prepare the HDD for use, Ive find only a select few on how to use the APPS. CCs support and use of the HDD seems slim to none.
Any ideas?
Crystal Chip and HDD, a little help please.
Same here buddy.
I can't seem to find any tutorials on this very subject and I have been searching for two days. [I have sticky/search on the brian] Also the WiKi is down at the moment. I have a bootable CD that will launch uLaunchELF and that will launch HDL and that will launch the hard drive and games. But that is a pain in the a##.
I just want to turn on the console, auto launch (with a 7 second delay or so) HDL8B from the HDD or CC 2.0SLE and run my backups. For now :) . I will explore the other features after I can get this working.
EDIT: BTW after reading up I can now connect to uLaunchELF via FTP mode to my PC. I see four directories MC, MASS (usb stick), HDD, and PFS. Hopefully this can help. I will also re-format HDD naming it CRYSTAL (using winhiip). Is that right to let CC2.0 see it?
