Crystal Chip 2.0 Pro
I bought Crystal Chip 2.0 pro from foundmy.com, they took a week just to COD pending.
Anyway it's been shipped, but I haven't received it yet, I was wondering will Crystal chip 2.0 pro boot my backup games just like a original ps2 game, I mean will I have to go in the bootmanger and boot it from there or will it load just like a normal ps2 game, like : Sony computer entertainment america, then Playstation 2.
With the hacked firmware and boot manger, can I do that?
You can boot backups with the hacked firmware and bootmanager, that's right.
But currently not without bootmanager, that will probably work with the next firmware, though.
You need to know that there's a major drawback when not using BM: there are no patches (DNAS) and fixes (NTSC/PAL), cause all of them are provided by BM.
You must be thinking that it's awful complicated to use BM, but in fact it's not. It will autoboot every disc you insert, just like an unmodded PS2. When booting a game you won't see the crappy "Sony computer entertainment america and Playstation 2" screens, or do you really want to waste time on them? Well you still can go to the $ony boot screen from inside BM, if you want to. And you can set the autoboot to load the $ony boot screen for every disc you insert, then you only have an additional Crystal splash screen when starting the PS2.

Wow, I never knew that, thanks.
Yeah same. I just received mine today. It took about 10 days. I'm gonna be soldering it soon. Just need a few more things.
Ok, so could you show me a video of Crystal chip.
Can you record a video of your PS2 starting up then booting the backup game.
I have some pics ready which I used for a review.
First pic is the CC splash screen you will see when turning on the PS2.
Second is the BM main menu, the blue disc icon in the upper left corner indicates an inserted PS2 game. The game boots automatically after 2sec by default.
Third pic is the config menu and the last one is the PS2 game config.
The zip contains all screenshots I made, just in case you want to take a look at all the menus.

hey but would an original ps2 game work on the net without BM or do you need BM for that too
Of course an original game will work without BM as it doesn't need to be patched. An original game will work with or without BM, with or without chip activated. But with the chip+bm is the only way to make your original game run as you like (NTSC, PAL, 50, 60Hz, perhaps with the next release even VGA 480p...)

Is there a problem with the files I loaded into the chip's memory? Where can I obtain the proper BM files and firmware for it? Thanks!
