I checked my motherboard and it's definitely a GH-052-2 and I want to be sure I can use the install diagram for the GH-051-2.

The sticker on my PS2's outer case says that it's a SCPH-77001a.

If anyone can help me be sure of the install diagram I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you!!

yes, you can go ahead and use the GH-051-02 diagrams as they are almost the same, i have the same version as yours, it s new version, but an expert at nocalmods told me it s the same and he just has to follow the diagrams for GH-051-02 to mod GH-052-02

    Thanks for the reply dimaxzouze!!

That's great to know. When I get the chip, I'll move forward with the install.

What's odd is I searched the forums for "GH-052-2" and nothing turned up. That's the only reason I submitted the same identical question. I always search for my topic before I post and my search showed nothing.

Sorry to the forum for posting the same question

Regardless thank you for the help Dimax.

    Cheers!!

    Yeah, bud!!

Sorry to hear you ran into problems with the second install. My best decision was to take my time. I took about 4 hours, doing every step as meticulously as possible.

I give you mad props for the help you provided. Sending me to the thread you had already started answered so many of my questions. (It's like you were in my head dude ) But, seriously, thanks.

Now I'm running my "backups" of FFXII and R&C:Up Your Arsenal and many more flawlessly.

My next step is to get my 320GB External USB hooked up and running games so I don't have to spend money on blanks. I know it won't run them as well as an IDE drive but I discovered that I needed V12 or lower system to install the IDE drives too late in the process.

    Thanks again dimaxzouze.
