Crystal Chip 1.2 Installed, No Video
Crystal Chip 1.2 Installed, No Video –
11-12-2006,04:08 PM
I just finished installing a crystal chip v 1.2 in my PSTwo with a GH-051-02 board in it. The first time I tried booting up, the PSTwo with the chip installed the LED was constantly lit. I went back and redid a couple of the BIOS wires, it looked like R and N were touching two pads. So I fixed the points and tried again. The crystal chip now shows proper procedure, the LED comes on for 1 second then goes off, I can also here disks spinning up, but I get no video and no sound.
Any ideas where I should start looking? If I remove the power to the chip, would it be like the chip was removed or do I really have to remove ALL the wires?

OK, so I fixed the problem, 1 of the BIOS wires was still touching two pads. I now have video again, but now I am getting a RSOD when I try to use the Hacked Firmware upgrade disk. The LED comes on for 1 second and then goes off and stays off, like its suppose to and I can get normal games to startup just fine. Any ideas?
