I have just recently had a CC 1.1 chip installed into my PS2 v.9, with Romeo mod of course...

Now I try to load my PS2 backups and it reads them in the browser menu, although when I go to load them up, it gives me a black screen and the disk eject light blinks a few times after the initial bootup. On some occasions they did load up... when this happens the disk reads bad and any CG video runs incredibly slow and choppy. One game for example (Kingdom Hearts 2) loads up until the Title screen but plays no music at all... and it runs so slow during the opening CG that it is almost as if it crashed.

I'm burning with Alchohol 120% at 2x speed on Dynex DVD-R's and Maxell DVD+R's... both worked fine when I used Swap Magic 3.6 before the Mod Chip installation.

Oddly... I haven't had a problem yet booting PS1 backups.

    Anyone able to help?

Edit - Just reburned my Kingdom Hearts 2 backup to Verbatim DVD+R media and It is working great. I guess my PS2 prefers high quality Media DVD's.

Not sure if this is ok, but i'm gonna say it anyways... if anyone wants a great quality Mod installation, check out norcalmods.
Thanks for a wonderfully done job.

I think it goes without saying that if you can afford a professional install, you can afford quality media.

Yep, expecially when you get an Employee discount at bestbuy

    25 Verbatim DVD+R's for under $10.

    Gotta love girlfriends.
