Crystal 2.0

In preparation of the arrival of my Crystal 2.0, I am trying to find out EVERYTHING I will need for "flashing" it. Is version 29 the only thing I need to enable me to play my backed up games. Between my dog and my son if I had been playing "backed" up games rather than original games I could have saved more than enough to pay for this chip. (live and learn) I think I understand how to copy files to "CD" then update firmware, but I am getting lost in all the terminology used, Launchelf, Wikki, etc... Can someone please explain the proper software components needed?

Trust me, it's not difficult at all! All you need to do is download the hacked firmware from the sticky thread, burn it and then follow the instructions on your TV screen.

Oh, and for your information: the wiki is just a collaborative website that gathers information about CC. The cool thing about it is that once you know your way around you can register and start sharing your experience and information.
uLaunchELF is one of the many PS2 homebrew applications... well, not quite your average PS2 app, we can say it's the most useful out there, but it's not what you'll need to flash your chip.
