I installed this chip after having it lay around my room for a few years. It wasn't in an anti-static bag, so I figure that it's now a dead chip. Anyway, I booted my v14 Ps2 right up into recovery mode to flash the firmware as I was unsure if it was still there or not. I installed to the CC Flash, performed a cold reboot, and was greeted by the regular playstation screen, however, it still booted up into the FW CD. I took the CD out, rebooted it again, same deal. I even installed BM to the memory card and it still wouldn't boot into it. What do you all think, dead chip?
