Chip Broken - Everything broken
Chip Broken - Everything broken –

Hi
I want to add a V1.2 chip to a v15a Console. The chip is already flashed.
First try didn't work. The Console boots up but didn't recognized backups
or firmware. Original games are working.
The Bootmanager boots up from mc and detects the chip.
So I checked every wire and found out, wire I was not OK.
After fixing the wire the console won't start anymore. I just
see a short flicker at startup and thats all.
I removed the chip but the console still won't start.
I checked all fuses and they are OK.
Any hints how I can get it working again?

Check all your small chips and confirm that you haven't bridged any pins together. Also, make sure there's no solder splatter on the motherboard anywhere, that can cause problems as well.

if nothing looks bad... and its still not working, remove the whole mod... it's much easier to troubleshoot the ps2 without the 23 variables that a mod offers you as well
EEEEEEWWWWW... girls gots cooties

I used additional fluxing agent (correct translation?) so I didn't
have problems with short-cuts at all.
After solder I used pcb cleaner to get rid of the fluxing agent
to prevent leak currents.
I hope I find a shortcut or something tomorrow.
Cheers,

I got it !!!
I forget to remove fluxing agent at the SX point. After removing it with pcb cleaner it is booting again!!
