Do you live in North America or Europe? If you're in America then your TV is most likely NTSC and the game you're running is a PAL game [europe region] and that is why you're seeing the scrolling because their TV's run at a different frequency than ours.
ohh ok, yea i figured that was the problem...i live in the US and indeed the game was PAL....is there any way to fix it?
If you use Bootmanager with your Crystal Chip, you can force the output to NTSC in your PS2 DVD configuration. I've never really used this as I'm in a PAL country and all my NTSC games work fine (I think I have a colour fix installed) and my TV accepts an NTSC signal.
You will probably find the games are sped up a little (which is sometimes ok as they are often slowed down for PAL anyway) and any FMV will probably skip... but I'm not sure how BM handles all of this, so the only way to know is to have a play around with it!
