I have a ps2slim v13, it's the 01d resistors modded with CC1.1. It's working just fine, for about 45 mins the the power led starts blinking and only way to recover is by removing the power cord (mechacon crash?).
The PS2 then wokr fine again. It looks to be a heat issue. Tried putting the ps2 in a vertical position and then it played fine for 1 hour and still no crash.

Can heat cause this? If so what can be done? The chip is already laid flat against the motherboard...

    Thanks

Hi there. I have have this same problem with a cc 1.1 and a v 13. All points have been checked and everything is fine, no crosses or dry points. This is the first time that I'm experincing this problem with a cc 1.1. I have installed over 30 and never had this type of problem.

If "the Agent" or any other crystal team has any advice please post here. Really need an answer to this problem. H firmware 1.9 being used. Thanx

It's a heat issue. Are you sure you have the CC grouned nicely and have no crossed wires? I would make sure no wires are installed in wrong points as well.

Update. Hi all, just letting everyone know what transpired. The client seems to have a problem with cigarette ash. All I did was clean out the ash and voila, left the ps2 on for 20 hours. No crash, nothing wrong whatsoever. I advised to guy not to use ps2 as ashtray. So to anyone else with a similar problem try getting rid of dust/ash! thanx Agent for your reply. Eagerly awaiting bootmanager 2.0 from crystal team! Thanx all
