Ok, so I just want to know if FW 34 is as stable as FW 29 before updating? In the other FW 34 thread there still seems to be problems but they are mostly about PAL/NTSC fixes.
no stable like the firmware and BM 29.... Some PAL and NTSC PS1 and PS2 game is not compatible with the Screen position axe X/Y ... dont know why![]()

other than the video fixes, Release 34 is solid.
wizpsycho: fyi, it's "axis". I would like to take an axe to my PS2 sometimes though.![]()
I've upgraded to r34, but one thing I just wanted to ask. Where in BM do I find out if I'm acutally running r34?
apparenly nowhere, since people are saying that it's reporting r32 even if you're actually running r34.. i think
Is there any difference between theagent and Jones23 hacked release?
whichone should be downloaded?
As they don't include the firmware sources in the archive, we can't tell about that. We just can see that firmares differ.
About the scripts, the hack code is the same on both version. :
Instead of Jone's BOOTMENU.PBT code :
theAgent usesCode:SET "IS_HOMEBREW" "1"
Which gives the same result...Code:IF ISIN "PSX.EXE" "$BM.BOOT_NAME$" SET "IS_HOMEBREW" "1" ELSE SET "IS_HOMEBREW" "1" ENDIF
So, I've no conclusion and I admint that my post is totaly useless![]()
By the way, here is the content of the iso of Jones' version to update the chip using USB or ps2client.
cc_software_34_hacked_sources.zip
To Jones and theAgent : are you planning to force people to upgrade their firmware using CDR until their death ?![]()
