hi

i recently installed a CC 2 SLE chip in my PS2 v12. all was well until a few days later when the ps2 would not read any discs, after doing a little research i found out about needing a laser fix.
i have now installed the summ0ne fix and have bought a new laser (i tested the old one and it is fried) but i cannot get the playstation to work. the disc spins up for a few seconds then stops then spins up again and stops etc. until it eventually gives up, when i go into the browser it says 'The Disc Cannot Be Read'.
I have tried everything i can think of. the new laser is working (i tried it in a friends v12 console). i've tried disabling the modchip. ive tried removing the summ0ne fix. ive checked all the connections on the modchip. ive tried using original and backup PS1 and PS2 games, DVD movies, original and backup audio cds, and ive tried the firmware disc for the modchip.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
