    Console - SCPH-75008
    Mainboard - GH-040-12
CC 2.0 Pro (unmodified hardware) with installed hacked FW34 and BM 2.1.6.
PS2 DVD and CD (original PAL and NTSC U/C and backup of those discs) work just great. DVD-Video recognized and plays flawless. Audio-CD also work without any glitches.
BUT - PSOne CD (original PAL and NTSC, backups and homebrew) won't play in any way....
Drive start spinning, recognized type of disc (CD) and type of media (PSOne disc, rotating 1x-2x speed) and there is black screen. No sound, no button responce. Works only RESET button. After 5-6 sec of rotating lens click (reinitializing recognize type of disc), adjust focus/tracking and continue rotating disc. And it continue untill I RESET console.
Using original (unhacked) FW34 won't help either (original PAL CD-ROM). Deistall and reinstall BM take the same result.

Have any idea what could it be?

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.... Were too lazy in school.....

Check your SX wire, like you were told by BM.

Won't boot any kind of PS1 CD (original and backup). After SLEEP mode - play original PAL CD-ROM without any problems. DVD-Video, CD-Audio, PS2 DVD/CD original and backup work flawless.

I've check it before post here about this problem.
After first CC install this test passed, BM says all work great. But PS1 CD spin, lens click and everything went loop - spin, recognize, lens click..... After I switch ON my PS2 on next day this test fail with this popup message.... If I desolder CC or put it in SLEEP mode - original PAL CD work.
I think that were just dead CC chip..... But I can't check it without FPGA initialization info... I can buy new clean FPGA, programm it, replace.... But it wouldn't work without VHDL files.... Order new one CC chip is kinda big spade in ass for russian customer.
May be there's just some sort of unproper schematic or PCB design

P.S. BM recognize that CD i put in for PSOne - black labeled CD in top left corner (Blue for PS2 disc). By the way - BM have big troubles with recognizing DVD-Video disc's - about more than 30 original DVD-Video (5 region) titles recognize like OTHER disc and won't boot. PS2 browser play them like any usual DVD-Video.

    So what?
Can anyone help me out this trouble?
Even meaning of SX pin (CE pin on CD/DVD DSP chip where it connected) will be usefull... What logic level could be there....
Why everyone keep silence like helping strictly prohibited by CC developers?

Not much I can say, but resolder the SX, the issue sounds like a cold solder spot. Better check the whole installation, I've never heard of a faulty CC, but of many faulty installations.

Well... It will be a first time you've heard about dead CC 2.0.
'cause I checked wires twice, change whole wire to short cut's of 80 pin IDE cable (thin single wire stuff)... Change even placement of CC. But it hasn't change anything. CD-Audio, DVD-Video, PS2 CD/DVD boots fine, but PSOne CD still refuse to load.
One strange thing what bother me - BM recognize type of media and show's black labeled CD (PSOne) in top left corner. But if i press Boot Media BM just hang's.
I wander's about meaning of SX wire. What could it do with CE2 pin of CD-DVD DSP?

P.S. Just right now I got new info: In SCPH-75008 CW (which sold in Russia) with GH-040-12 main board not every modchip will boot PSOne CD's.... Something with BIOS I thing.... Maybe another antypiracy protection 0_0.... Strange, but...
I gonna try to install my CC2.0 into my SCPH-30004 and check it workability on it. If it will work - then CC has a problem with console type detection. If it doesn't - then CC came to me is dead ^_^

P.P.S Can anyone share with Service Manuals for game console's? Any SM will be usefull, because I creating service info collection (available for free and without any registration needed) for enthusiasts of hardware modding and researching. I already found in web $ony's official (not scans and cutout's free) SCPH-900x, SCPH-10x and SCPH-3000x in PDF.

    New update!!!!!

Crystal Chip won't work on SCPH-75008 CW with GH-040-12 main board!
I crash my head about every wall I've got, but nothing won't help me to boot PSOne CD's on my slim PS2. After finding info on one russian web resource with note that many modchip won't work with GH-040-12 MB I try to reinstall CC 2.0 to my old SCPH-30004 (v4) and it start to work!
So, russian customers will be forced to search and buy old consoles or order another modchip for their SCPH-75008.....
