Hi, i recently installed a CC 2.0, but now my PSTwo won't boot anything. I checked the CDVD points and they were fine, and the led flashes for one sec at boot-up so BOIS is okay too i think? :/ I can't boot firmware disc OR original PS2 games, they all say "Please insert a PS/PS2 format disc" in that Sony red screen. Crap.

I put electrical tape on mine. I had no components come loose.. I will double-check the CDVD points once more and get back. I think my soldering might have been flaky, but i measured no errors.

Another wierd problem; if i screw the board too hard down to the chassis it won't work (doesn't boot into sony browser, nothing comes up on my TV). Perhaps because the chip builds too high up from the board and gets bent around that way, i will try to fix it (but i think there's just too much glue, dunno if i can fix it :/)

Well i dunno. All the CDVD points were fine, and i tend to get just a black screen when booting FW discs, nothing more. I tried doing several grounds now since i think my ground point might have been a bit bad, but now it should be excellent, and i also did a new 3v3 point.

Now; it just boots into the Sony menu, no CD's work, when i try browser and insert a CD/DVD i get "Disc could not be read". I think this might have something to do with my fingers greasing out the laser lens? Or?

Update. After desolderinng & resoldering A,B,I,H,G,HA and being careful like a madman checking absolutely EVERYTHING after each solder point. Every disc goes redscreen (Please insert ...). What the hell should i do? My install may be crappy? I redid the whole HA wire taking the absolutely shortest path i could, but still doesn't work. It does cross a few wires though :-/ And the rest of the CDVD wires cross all the BIOS ones and sort of each other when they reach the chip. Can this be interference related? I'm pretty sure my ground & power is more than aquedate.

Please reply even if you just have a faint feeling of what may be wrong, this is driving me nuts.

    .. And i didn't solder the F wire, do i need to? Mine is a pink PSTwo V15a GH-051-02.

I'll keep this i nthe back of my mind maybe I'll think of something.

during the instal you should have it done in 2 parts part one is the main linkage then you power on and watch the LD for any error code, the second part is all DVD and relay wires You said that you have a slim? did you use the Neo Fix? I haven't the foggist as to the workings of that.
