I want to buy Crystal Chip 2.0 Pro.
I only found this site that will ship to Canada, but I'm too scared to try it, since I don't know this site.

modchip.ca isn't working and it only has crystal chip 1.0, modchip.com doesn't even have crystal chip.

Can anyone please tell me if mod-chip.com is a trustful site, or is it a scam

If I get crystal chip 2.0 Pro, do I need to download the firmware and the bootmanger to play backed up games?

I need a install guide for SCPH 39010/N PS2.

Will Crystal Chip 2.0 Pro allow me to play any game online, or only a few?
And will it boot all games with no problem, I mean what if it boots the game slowly like stupid Swap Magic does.

Does it have problems when you play the game the video freezes or skips, or you can't hear people talking to you.

I can't tell you anything about that shop, but I'll answer all other questions.

Every CC is shipped unflashed, so the first thing you'll have to do after installing it is to install firmware and BootManager. Just download the hacked Software here on the forum(link is in my signature) and you have everything you need.

You can play nearly every game online with the CC, so far the only game I couldn't go online with was Urban Chaos.

All games boot up without problems or delays and there are no problems when playing a game. Just make sure you always use good quality media (e.g. Verbatim) and everything is fine.

The CC is the best chip on the market and it's still getting better (the CC Team is working on the next release).

I mean you don't have to go in the bootmanger thingy and then boot up the game.

All you do is insert the backed up game and start your ps2 then play it?

Crystal Chip will not allow you to play copied or import games. While it does allow you to read "burned" media discs, we have specifically designed our software patches to disallow the execution of game discs. There are 2 main reasons for this. The first reason is that in many countries, it is illegal to play copied and/or import game discs even if you own the original disc. The second reason is that Crystal Chip is intended for legally launching "homebrew" software. Due to the aforementioned legal problems, we felt it best to keep any questionably-legal features out of the Crystal Chip design so as not to become confused with so-called "modchip" devices which have been deemed illegal in some countries. While we understand that many people use these devices to legitimately back up their game discs or play import software which is not available in their region, we also respect the fact that different people are subjected to different laws in regard to consumer rights.

Is Memorex a good quality media?

No, it's crap. I bought Memorex once and most of them couldn't even be read correctly by the PC.
The only ones I'd recommend are Verbatim, never had a bad Verbatim DVD or CD.

I only buy first class media for my PS2 and Verbatims can be found pretty cheap in online shops.

Yes, backups are loaded like originals. You have to use BootManager, but that doesn't take more time than the original $ony bootup, so no drawback at all.

Yes of course, that's the purpose of a direct boot modchip. You don't have to hold a padbutton or use some crazy reset button combinations like with some other modchips.

That's only true for the original software and it's why I told you to get the hacked version. With the hacked software you can play imports and backups just fine.
The CC Team wants to stay out of trouble, so they decided to not support backups. It's a matter of legality.
But they made the firmware open source and thanks to that, there will always be a hacked version, which allows backups and imports.

My dad won't let me buy Crystal Chip, now I'm stuck with Swap magic 3.6 plus which sucks
It's super slow at loading games, people's voices aren't there, I can't hear them.

I can't play games on my PC because it's so slow at games, I have an Intel GMA 900, and I can't upgrade my video card because of STUPID DELL, they only put PCI e x16 and pci.
