Can only boot games from BM

My ps2 can't boot any backups without the boot manager. It used to work yesterday and now it just stoped. I get a ''please insert a PS2 or PSX games'' error message all the time. I can play my ps2 backups with the BM but I can't play my psx backups that way. Also the boot manager doesn't always start.

Now I'm wondering if the problem is the firmware or the hardware?

I'm using v19 hacked firmware by the way.

My boot manager doesn't boot anymore... now I really don't know what to do. Even my original games give me the "please insert a PS2 or PSX game"

Yeah but the boot manager doesn't start anymore but when it used to start I had no problem playing my backups yet I couldn't play any without using the BM.
