First off, great forum, lots of great info!
I'm basically a n00b to this whole community. After about six months of research I have finally decided to buy a CC. My questions are:
    1) Do I need boot manager to play backed up games on or offline?
    2) Boot manager is loaded via the memory card, right?
    3) How do I get Boot Manager onto a memory card?
    4) When new firmware comes out, do I just download, burn and load it just like a game?
    5) Do I have to flash the original firmware and then the "cracked" version or just flash the "cracked" version?
    Thanks in advance.

So I burn boot manager to a disc and then save it onto a memory card just like game saves?
