I am new to this kinda stuff...
I got my ps2 back modded with cc2.0 and bm ( i didn't check what version i had when i first got it... got too excite and just start trying out backup games.. ><)
Anyway, it was working well and i was able to play all of my backup games. Then finally, i start to checking out the BM....
I wanted to view my memory card, so i tho i would go to memory card management... after that i didn't c option like view memory card or something similiar, so i want to quit and go back to previous menu...
unfortunally, i had the "remove diff/bm" option highlighted... and i press the confirm key instead of cancel...
Then the removing process begins... and successfully done.. -_-
I got back to the original BM screen... i was not aware that i did something bad... i keep browsing around... then i have no idea but i press the "reload menu"...
now it says... "no menu" on my BM... ( or something similar.. that was like 4 am in the morning.. i guess i am sleepplaying.. -_- )
i try to boot it up again and all i get is black screen...
i turn off power and reset.. same thing..
i use my original ps2 disc and same thing happen.. just black screen...

i download the software from crystal-chips.com and burn it in my cd, mode 2, with speed from 48x 32x 16x 8x... 4 different speed disc and none of them can boot my up ps2... just black screen..

    what have i done >_<
Please help me to find a solution to it..

oh FYI.. the LED light is blinking normally just like when i was playing backuped game..

    thanks in advance..

    Tom

To boot the disc you'll have to use the recovery mode. Turn on your PS2 and hit reset 3 times. But you'll have to get the hacked software to play backups, that's not supported by the original software.

If you want to check your MemCard goto App Browser and run the PS2 Browser App from the CFlash. Then you can use the original $ony browser to view your MC.

If you want to see what's really on your MC, get LaunchELF. It doesn't show some useless icons but the real content of the MC (folders and files) and you can backup your saves with LaunchELF to a USB stick, internal HDD, or even the PC via network.

Hum.. how quickly should i press the reset 3 time?
I've try it last nite.. and i don't see anything appear in my tv tho.... with or without the image disc..
should there be a screen when entering recovering mode?

i'll do it again when i got home to see how it goes..
probably i didn't do it right last nite.. since it was around 4am -_-

also.. since i was able to play backup game.. so it is obviously that I had hacked FW and BM before right?
I probalby won't need to flash my FW?

But anyway, step by step.. i'll try to re-install my hacked bm first.. and c how it goes..

Thanks so much for your respond =)

    Regards

As soon as the green light goes on, hit it again. I'd say that's pretty fast.
If it works, the original $ony boot screen comes up and the disc will boot.

You should flash the FW too, just to be sure that it really is the latest version, it will only take a second anyway.

I have the same problem, and I also can't get into recovery mode. By pressing reset 3 times, the system throws me straight into the original $ony boot screen with Browse and Configuration
I did a recovery before, but now I cannot get back in there... please help...

Well, that's exactly how the recovery mode acts, you get to the original $ony boot screen. Just insert your upgrade disc and you should be able to boot it and install everything anew.
