2.0 pro dead?

My v7 with 2.0 pro worked for about 3 days playing hdloader games never tried backups yet anyways It will not startup now .When I boot the ps2 its blackscreen when I bootup and hit reset 3 times are 6 times it sometimes boots to ps2 browser but still will not play any games at all.ONe of the mods here did the install so I'm sure its wired 100% correct anything I can do?

Try to reinstall the firmware and the BootManager. Burn the hacked software to CD, insert it in your PS2 and use the recovery mode (3x reset) to boot it, then install BM and upgrade FW.

Still no go it boots up to ps2 browers then I can see mc I insert the cd it reads then I get"please insert ps2 disk red screen" .I've tried nero,burnatonce useing memorex cdrw could that be the problem?WHen I try hdloader with mc it works.But no signs of modchip life

Don't use Memorex, they're crap! And don't use RW media, that's not good for your laser. Burn it to a normal CD-R and it should work, unless the installation is fine. There's always a chance that a wire came off, no matter who installed it.

How do you boot HDL when your chip is not working?

Sorry I missed this before .ONce I reboot power then hit reset 3 times then ps2 works
like theres no modchip.From the ps2 browser I can start hdloader with mc.
But if I reboot and do nothing then the system sets forever with blackscreen.I checked wireing it seemed fine.I think this was caused by deleteing something in the bm just like another member posted same problem.

How exactly does that work? I never heared of something like that. Thought the $ony Browser can't start apps from MC.

I ordered a copy of HDLoader 3.8B from hdloader.org they sent me a memory card and a disc which I found out its a ps1 disk because kids left the memcard out and the hdloader disc spun up and was a old ps1 game.Instructions were insert memcard and put disc in and reboot and hdloader starts up and works.Works from ps2 browser also has option to click on memcard are disc I click on disc with memcard in and hdloader starts up .

Ok, that explains it. Those HDL suckers sold you an exploit, when will they ever get enough. That can be done with every MC, many PS1 games and the "free" HDL. That way you wouldn't have paid a cent. So you really wasted your money on that. They completely ripped you off, damn I can't believe it!

Yeap 50 dollars they got this newbie lol hopefully my mistake will help someone else from makeing the same.As soon as I opened the box and saw the memcard I knew something was not right.
