no, toxicOS is installed to your flash memory on the modchip itself, saving space. in the next version of toxicos, you will even be able to put FILES on your DMS chip.

Note : You can only load the toxic OS on a Dms4 PRO.. not DMS4 Lite.

You can load HDL onto your MC if you want to run games off the HD though.

Thats what I'm interested in. I want to run HDL v7c from the MC using Toxic OS .3. I know at one time I had HDL on my MC and was using a trigger disk, and then when I modded my ps2 and tried using the MC Dev mode, it would take me to the ps2 browser screen. So how would I go about getting it to work correctly?

why would you want to run hdl when you have toxic?

Because Toxic doesnt have the up to date v7c, and lets just say I wont be holding my breathe waiting on Toxic .4. I have some of the games that require HDL v7c, and I cant play those using Toxic .3
