pro/toxicOS vs. lite/Toxio Bios

Im planning to buy dsm4 pro or lite. I heard the only 2 differences are that pro has more memory for homebrew and uses toxicOs/ToxicBios while lite can only use the bios. What are the diffs b/t os and bios.

toxicos is basicly hdloader w/elf launcher and builtin cheat device (w/toxicbios features); if your ps2 is a v14+ (no ide) you might as well save some cash and go with the lite.

I am not using harddrive so don't need hdloader. Whats the cheet device. And what are elf. I know they are some type of program but what do they do. I have V7 (fat) Ps2

the cheat device with toxicos is for using game cheats much like codebreaker except it will allow you to cheat in games installed to your harddrive; frankly the cheat device was not well implemented and requires un-encrypted codes from action reply to be inserted, codebreaker is much easier to use and allows the user to download cheats from the web. I would say the toxic cheat device is not much of a feature at the moment...ELF files are much like an exe file in windows, you exicute an elf file to launch into a program/application; ulaunchelf,simple media system, hdloader, myps2*, reality media player, pgen....ect....are all launched using an elf file.

since you have a v7 I would get the dms4 pro in case sometime in the future you may decide to purchase a hard drive...you can install toxicbios on the dms4 pro (w/o os) and use that instead. its always good to be prepared weather you use toxicos or not with a v7 get the pro.

Can all games be played with DMS EZI LITE.
