Off Topic from uLE thread regarding DMS4 Mod chip

I try to install v4.40 to my HDD with toxicOS 0.41 (dms4se_pro) , it installs fine, but when I boot it off the HDD nothing happens, only a black screen. It runs OK if installed to the mc , or even run it directly from my USB stick...
Is this a known problem? I am new to the DMS stuff btw...
this is the script I use to install it :

it installs fine to both mc/hdd , but only works from mc.
Thanks for any pointers on this!

edit: forgot to mention , the HDD is formatted with APAEXT

dlanor mentioned something a few sites before thought...
It works for example directly started through DEV.2, but not through the "ELF-Launcher" of the ToxicOS (that´s atleast, how I believe it was...).

well it loads fine through usb or mc, but not hdd...

Hm,... Have you any DEV.2-App installed?
If not,... Install uLE into DEV.2-Mode and try to start it this way.

I am really searching a way to transfer isos via network to the ps2, so I don't have to take out the HD all the time LOL

dude if its me i will forget about Dev2 and i will use Dev1 and set uLaunchELF as BOOT.ELF
and then i will make a partition on hdd and store all my stuff on that partition .

dude use WinHIIP for installing games much faster .

and btw DMS has nothing to do with installing games to PS2 HDD .

and btw2 keep your same questions in one thread .you already got on in DMS Modchip section

I did not ask here HOW/IF POSSIBLE to transfer games, I just stated as a sidenote why I am trying to use it in the 1st place, I cannot see anything wrong with it... If you see all my questions here, all are why I cannot get it running of the HDD.

And on that matter, I used the same script to install SMS on the HDD, where it works fine... Maybe some bug on the toxicOS/ulaunchelf is in place here?

in what way my problem of UlaunchElf that runs from everything except my HDD on my modded ps2 does not relate to the Ulaunchelf release thread?

edit: unless it is supposed to be run from anything but hdd, or a hdd is not supported, in that case I did not knew that...
