No more HDD Explorer after patching 48bit ?
No more HDD Explorer after patching 48bit ? –
Well, the topic says it all i guess. I just installed a new hard drive (200GB Maxtor instead of 120 good old Maxtor), formatted using WinHIIP with 48bit patch, installed arround 140GB of games (originals, of course), and after that, trying to install HDD Explorer failed over and over. It simply showing a loading screen, and HDD looks like reading continuously (hdd led is red all the time). I already checked manually for boot.elf file from __boot partition. It wasn't there, so i copied HDDExplorer as boot.elf, then trying to boot from Dev.2 and nothing happened (actually, a fast red screen, then going back to PS2 browser). Do you know how to solve this problem ? I also read that DMS chip usually reads a file called bios.cfg from Dev.2. I manually created one, but with nothing inside... didn't solved anything.
So, do i need a patched 48bit HDDExplorer or something like that ? Or maybe the right filename was BOOT.ELF not boot.elf (didn't tried that... yet) ?
Thx in advance for your answers. Have a nice day
Edit: i found HDDExplorer 48bit patched, copied it inside _boot partition as BOOT.ELF (also tried boot.elf), but got the same problem. What else do i need to do ? Can somebody tell me what's inside that .cfg file or how i can create it ? Plsssss... i am desperated in here, forced to load from almost full memory card...
