I noticed I cannot get some backups of some of my PSOne games to work on the DMS3 modded version 7 PS2 yet the original discs play fine and the backups play fine on my modded PSOne so it must be the DMS3 chip right? The games are Diablo, and Bio Freaks. Im sure there are more but I cannot remember them right now. I just wanted to know do these cdr games play using the DMS4 chip?

I think it is the install. I have a V7 ps2 with a dms3 and ive played ps1 backups of all kinds. Final Fantasy 7, Thrill Kill, Final Fantasy Tactics...they all work fine. Make sure you have the latest firmware on your chip, and if you still have problems, you should check the install. Lastly, make sure youre holding the O button when you boot up the ps2.
