So, my DMS3 just randomly stopped working the other day when I attempted to load a backup. The unit locked up so I restarted it using the Standby button. Now, whenever I try and turn the unit on I just get a black screen The only way I can get any response out of the unit now is by starting it in the stealth mode.

I tried re-flashing the BIOS using the independence exploit and the upgrade ELF, but I just get the error message "Erasure failure" or "Upgrade failure: -1".

I think my DMS3 chip has been nuked Anyone have any ideas on how to revive this puppy?

    Thanks!

Check the wiring first of all. Sometimes, 1 wire might have come loose. If it's a DMS3 then its a bit older chip. Maybe it just died.
