    Hi everyone,

I have a V4 no-gap. I have installed a DMS4 SE Pro chip. I have been modding game consoles for 2 years now and this is the first time I've needed some help.

All wires flat against MB. Ground wire is 1 cm 18AWG. Power wire is 22AWG. All others are 28AWG Kylar wire.

All I get on power up is the BSOD. I have tried changing ground points. Checked all fuses. I also removed the chip and powered up, everything worked normally. I then installed a DUO3 with the same results.

Could anyone please tell me where else to look for issues?

I have "beeped" out the bios chip for shunts and all points look solid. Solder flow is good. Is it possible I have flux residue causing the black screen?

    Thanks!

I can send pictures if anyone is interested in helping me find the problem.

    Hi there,
I had the same problem, sounds like the board. I replaced mine (got a dead machine of ebay) and refitted, worked fine.

Check the batch number. if it's 0552 (at the back of the Chip) it's more than likely that the DMS4SE is your problem.

I just had the exact same problem. Once installed on my GH51-12 it was BSOD from the beginning, but once I disconnect it it would boot. I even tried a DUO3 and a CC v2.0 with the same wires and solder points(well a little different) and it worked...

It's a known batch failure with the DMS4SE Lite and PRo, seems like DMS is slowly becoming a relic for PS2 modchips, looking at their support and lack of updates for new PS2 version 14+ installation diagrams it seems they have abandoned their project. Their forums are also ridden with spam and viruses.. sad but true.
