    Hiya!!!

I upgraded my PS2 modchip to a DMS4 SE PRO, and I have the 500GB HDD I was using with a FMCB setup. Naturally the disk has ~110 games in it.. Is it possible/safe to just plug it in and use it with ToxicOS without loosing data?
Or should I backup it with winhiip and restore the games after formating with ToxicOS?

    Thanks for any info!

You can safely use it with ToxicOS thought.
Why backing it up from the HD?
Use your originals to rip it back to HD, if it doesn´t work.

Yeah.... re-ripping so many games is not actually funny LOL
backing up with winhiip is a nice way to avoid-rerip dvd's...
I would very much like to AVOID any data corruption on the HD.

    I see your point there.

    It should work.
Normally ToxicOS should have no problems with the standard-hdl-format.
Even if,... It is read-only (except, if you change some "Modes" or install/delete/rename a game), so it shouldn´t corrupt anything.

I know myself and many other here have a large HDD 500GB+ just for this reason.

I keep a backup of every game I have, on a external HDD. So I know in the event such as this, I know all my games are safe...

It's worth the $$ to invest in one..

If ToxicOS ask for the HD Format, use the real LBA 48 Mode, not the Custom extended LBA28 ToxicOS Mode.

I decided to do a more sane thing, since I will also use a ps2+crystal chip... I just migrated the 48bit HDloader HDD to this, after saving the games as ISOS in my pc... then I made an APAEXT 500GB HDD with winhiip, put the games back in, and it works AWESOME. ToxicOS is brilliant!

It almost makes me feel sorry I got a CC2.0 SLE chip for my 2nd ps2, DMS4pro "hdloader" is way more compatible...
