wont boot burned ps2 games V12

hi,
I jus installed a matrix inifinity and upgraded the firmware. I got it to boot original ps2 games,dvd movies and burned psx games. However, the system freezes if i try to boot a dvdr or cdr ps2 game. Anybody have any ideas what i did worng? BTW, its for a v12 and has a v14 or 15 cd drive/lens if it matters.

Check your wires. Reason why you can boot psx games is because it only requires sx wire to boot psx backups. PS2 backups requires all of the other wires. So your installation is most likely to blame for the freezing. Check the bios and vias points. Make sure you are using some good quality dvd-r such as Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Ritek. Burn slowly.
