this is my position and works nice in 6 moded v14 systems
sorry for the onfocused picture but this board had so much hars on it that it blinks like a mirror (i had to use my sunglasses while moding it )

    Hey Darkmaster2,

I use the same location as you to install the chip, but you have placed it a little bit 'rotated' if you know what I mean. Why ? It is not really necessary.

I thought is was a little too close to the screw hole in the V14. v12/13 models I always put it in straight. there is slightly more room in those models.

On v14, I put the MI between the 4 ground pole showed in the left side of the soldered chip, near the ground soldered chip : if you understand that I mean ?
For v12 & v13, the chip is a little bit more upper than the black rectangle, if you look into the shield, there is a place "a square" who have the right dimensions for the MI!
    Incredible or unbelievalable isn't it?

Watch here on the v12-v13 MI area: http://fr-consoles.com/gallery-onews-gv20.html

Be very carefull when you install it in the way, in the first picture.

There is 1 small smd component under the Matrix Infinity, and I have seen once that this small pressed through the double-sided tape by which I installed the MI.

This smd component made a short with the connections under the MI, and the pstwo switched off directly, after switching it on.

So be carefull with that position.
