I'm a little confused. I'be been reading that the Crystal chip is a better chip because it allows you to play on line without getting detected. I thought thats what the disable feauture was for on the Matrix (and also on all other chips)

I'm a little confused. I'be been reading that the Crystal chip is a better chip because it allows you to play on line without getting detected. I thought thats what the disable feauture was for on the Matrix (and also on all other chips)
the disabled functie is to turn off the modchip so that you can go online with original games
with the crystalchip you can also go online with copied games with the chip on
but i expect this feature will also come on the infinity in futured updates
grtz
MABCOM
just to add you can go online with backups with matrix infinity but you have to pach them. the crystal autopatches
its funny matrix dont have that feature automaticly they let the crystal chip have it first.
Oh man I'm dumb I though only the Crystal chip can be used for playing online, I have to stop listening to stupid people (i was told that some games like socom can detect the chip even if its disabled, and the only chip that can't be detected is the Crystal)
So why would the Crystal chip also have the disable feature?
The same reason the Matrix does.
i believe matrix also will have autopatches in their upcoming firmware update.
But if you can play both originals and backups with the chip on on line why would you need to disable the chip at all?Originally Posted by 533y4
with origonals u need to disable but with backups you patch them
exactly, u only need to patch the DNAS code, coz when u copy a game. the DNAS code gets 'scrambled', thus invalid.
