Weird PS2 backup problems-Read on... –
I have recently installed a Matrix Infinity chip with firmware 1.68 loaded on it. Here is my problem. I have also installed one in my friends PS2 and it works fine. Both PS2's are version 14. First off the Autoboot function does not work for backups or imports. For PS1 games(backups and imports) I have to force it to read the discs holding CIRCLE down while booting the system up. The same goes for the firmware discs. Secondly my PS2 will not read any backup PS2 games that read in the other PS2. My PS2 will also read backup DVD movies(not sure if that really helps at all). To me this seems weird, but anyway, I have checked my solder points(especially B-I) at least 10 times now and have even had my friend check them with his multimeter as well and can not see any problems. I will try to take a picture and upload it later today when I am at my house with my camera. I just don't understand what the problem could be. Thanks for any help out there.
I do have autoboot on in the system config menu, I have upgraded the firmware just now to 1.75 to see if that would help and it hasn't, and if I remember correctly I have a GH-041-(34) board.
some of my backups can't boots also with firmware v1.68
