I'm using the Red Ant VGA box for my ps2 right at the very 1st day, it performs decently but the color isn't as good as component!! And it won't work at progressive mode, need to check that again though!! So I guess it's a simple double-liner for 480i!!
I'm looking for a simple solution to get myself a ps2 vga cable, assuming the color will be more "colorful" than my vga box. I'm not a hardware guy and have no tools to do the sort like soldering!! After reading the post (hdtvarcade.com/hdtvforum/index.php?showtopic=5699), I'm wondering if a simple connected ps2 component cable with a (ramelectronics.net/assets/images/video/55-873-RCA-6.jpg) D-sub<->Component cable can do the work!? Is SoG a thing to avoid for decent graphic?? Because the mod on this page is quite simple for SoG (skygate.bravehost.com/PS2_VGA_cable.html)
edit: added urls... after test, the trick is to add other tags around the url, cause I did tried to remove "h t t p : / / w w w ." in the 1st go...

Reason: add url
Instead of saying "I can't post the link yet" over and over agai, just drop the http://www. and type the rest only.
instead of http://www.example4totalz.com you type example4totalz.com
put it in a nice colour and everybody will notice...

Can this method output 480p or 1080i? Because my vga box can't output either of those. If my monitor has component input I won't need to use this right?
I want to know if The RGB pins are the same for V7 PS2? I don't want to buy one so I am going to try to make one from two standard PS2 av cables and or an old Mad Cat$ RF universal RF adapter cause it has A lot of pins and is only missing pin 9 for blue so Because I don't need all these pins I can move one over and use it as pin 9. The RF adapter part that connects to a PS1 or PS2 is in itself removable and has pin#s 1-4,6,10,11,12 and Because I can Add it to a ps2 av cable and add the extra composite cables and pin, I think I might Have a Winner. If it works I will Post a tutorial for those of us with cheap 1024x768 LCD TVs that are supposed to be able to display 1080i through component RGB cables.
ps2 vga –
i have ps2 with matrix infinity chip.
i did ps2fix.jpg schematic diagram for vga monitor.

where is the problem.
if can i use 680 kohm rezistor.problem fixed ?
Does anyone know anyone that might be building and selling adapters based off this schematic? I have shaky hands (nerve condition) and cannot do intricate work, but would really love to be able to play on my LCD monitor. I'd gladly buy an adapter if someone is selling one. Please PM me if so. Thank you.
I have a MI chip already, FW 1.93
Wait, an LCD with component inputs will display in progressive scan? How would I hook up my PS@ using component in on my LCD monitor, please? I have a Dell 24", thank you.
