Up until now my Matrix Infinity mod chip was working great.
Now when the mod chip is on, the TV display rotates like a Vegas slot machine as soon as the Sony starts. If I disable the mod chip, play an original game, the display is fine. Is there a fix that can be done or is my mod chip finished. I have taken the Sony apart, all wires are still soldered and in tack.

It might be a PAL/NTSC issue. Does it do it on all games? If not, check to make sure the game that doesn't work isn't in the wrong TV format. If they all do it, disregard this message.

It does this immediately when the PS2 is turned on. If Idisable the Mod Chip, reset the the PS2 the machine starts up fine as long as the Mod Chip is disabled. I can play any original Sony game, but of course I cannot play any backups. I should also mention that any (back up, or original) of the games will load fine with the mod chip being used, but the television screen keeps revolving like a slot machine (no vertical hold).

I am not sure if this will help the least I can say is its worth a try

    1) with your chip enabled, power on your ps2 while holding both the "Triangle" & "Circle" buttons - hold for 5 seconds.

    2) then release and press "X" once

    3) now press "Start" button and wait 3 seconds; then hit reset and see if tv sends out a normal picture.

I am guessing maybe you have force pal or ntsc enable and your specific tv cant handle the output, or somehow you enabled force vga without the proper connections. if you try the steps and it doesnt work try again only on step (2) press the "X" button twice....ect...

flamingo24, your the best. Your like my best friend now. I never realized that menu was there. I changed a couple of settings. Put the settings back to original. What ever happened, it was enough to make the chip start functioning properly.
    Cheers! Thanx alot.
