V7 PS2 MI Chip

Hello all,

I recently installed my first MI chip with success. It plays backups, normal games, and region 1 movies. What I can not get it to do is play region 2 movies. It is my understanding that the chip was region free? I attempted to change the region in the BIOS and tried all 8 with the same result. It receive the error message of "TV system does not match". Do I need to check the DVD points? What are they if I do? Any suggestions would be helpfull. I also updated to BIOS to the most recent version successfully.

When you power up the PS2, hold O+trianlge to access the MI menu. there you can change to DVD region to 1-8.

I attempted that, tried all 8 regions that were available and still no luck. I am wondering if it could be a one of the wires? What wires are responsible for the DVD and region free features?
