I have a Ver 4 Ps2 with a MI greendot installed and I cannot seem to boot any PS1 backups or originals. If i throw in a PS1 game either original or copy it always boots straight to the ps2 browser and it might recognize the ps1 disc as a game and try to play it which ends in a black screen or a RSOD or it thinks its a audio disc. I have to rule out my laser cause it plays ps2 dvd and cds fine and I have to rule out the SX point because I checked it 2 times and its soldered in there good. Ive also as a last ditch effort downgraded my firmware to 1.82 which didn't work and then back to 1.93. Does anyone know whats going on Im outta ideas

BTW it did boot PS1 games before a long time ago

I had that same problem on my original GH-022 board. If I removed the SX wire, it would play originals perfectly, if it was on, it would give me the RSOD. I think in my case I soldered on the component too many times and screwed it up somehow. but to this day I can't figure out why it does like that. Sorry I'm no help, but its odd that both of us have that same problem.
