V2 (GH005) no red standby light

I just installed a MI in a V2 console, now I am getting no red light on power up. I couldn't get the rumored top points for SX and Y to work, so I desoldered the daughter board with a 30W iron and some braid. Popped right off without incident, wired up the wires and soldered it back together. The points wern't burnt and the pads were still in tact fine.

I can hear the psu kick in (caps charging up) but nothing at all for the power/standby light. Ribbons are fine to the mainboard, the power plug is secure in the DVD drive.

I wired up the console before doing the SX and Y point on the daughter board to verify the top ones didn't work (indeed they didn't) so I am confident that the chip is installed good. I verified all fuses were good, one wasn't (PS409) which I found out to be for the fan.

Anyone have any advice?

So you changed the fan fuse?

I just shorted it for now as I had none of those fuse types on hand, and all electronic stores were closed in my area to pick one up. I was hoping that would have something to do with the power switch, to which it didn't.

...And I solved sonys riddle. Make sure the plug is connected for the daughter board!!! miserable thing was in place, just not connected fully.. plugged it in and bam! working again.

Knew it was something stupid, simple or dumb - just couldn't find it. Now to get a replacement fuse.

Also the fan fuse blown because the fan seized, cause a fin broke off and wedged itself in place to seize the fan.
