v14 install

i have a v14 with a infinity chip.
everything wirks in this unit except the update. i also noticed when the unit is turned on there is no green power led. but the standby one works.
could this be a faulty install. is the led burnt out? and ideas

I finally decided to take it apart.
the ribon on the reset was loose , so the green led was not working
and when i went furtherthe chip was a

modbo 4
with firmware 1.88
