If burnt DVD movies won't play, than there is no way in hell a burnt game is going to play. I would say that if a burnt DVD won't play (try with the MI chip disabled or even the CD/DVD points desoldered BHGIA) than its a laser issue. You said it's new, if so then it wasn't a very good one. You always adjust the pots, but for a new laser that shouldn't be too necessary (sometimes but rarely.) As for the subzero fix, if it won't play a burnt DVD movie, than the subzero fix is not going to help it in any way, shape or form.

your media could be the problem.. go to the store and buy some different media.

it's not the media.. it works in my V14 ps2 with h20 chip.

Ordered a new laser, installing the Subzero fix when it gets in. i'll let you know.

put the new laser in first, then try it with backup games, then do the subzero fix. Make sure to cut the track properly and I would invest in a multimeter as well to test things like this in the future if you plan on doing more mods.
