When i press start button, screen shows
and after 1~2 sec. is says
PROGRAMING FAILD PRESS ANY KEY
How can I update firmware?
Search the forum for Matrix Infinity clones.
He might have a clone but he might not. I'm still having trouble with a v4 that has a genuine MI installed. Purchased from Divineo. It could be just a bad install. If that were the case, specifically which wires would cause this issue? I'd assume the BIOS points, Y, PWR, & GND, but if these points all checkout fine with a continuity test, then what else should we look for?
most likely a clone. dose it say matrix when i boots
If you think about it, wouldn't his chip've been fried? From what I hear, up until the Modbo 745, ALL MI clones were fried by the update, and judging from his current F/W version, he has an older clone (if it's a clone at all) this would lead one to believe that it is indeed the result of a bad install, rather than from the chip being a clone.
I concur with a possible bad install
how do u update it? via cd or usb?
i tried with cd..and usually it gives me the same crap..bad media maybe..
so, i put the update elf in my psp root directory, plug it in the usb slot..launch elf...search for it in the mass and viola..launch...success every time.
It seems like whenever the firmware update is not possible ....many rule that is a CLONE MI chip.
And wheather it display the MAtrix logo or not...has little significance as the logo can be turned on or off etc.
My CDR is burnt at x4 my drive slowest possible rate......still i get the same crap.
As i don't have a PSP can i just use my thumbdrive?
