Recently I have a lot problem with playing with Indigo Prophecy (aka Fahrenheit) so i decided to pupgrame my matrix firmware...

My current firmware is 1.21 so I decided to upgrade 1.54 ... everything went fine ... i burnt it put into my ps2 plug it on I saw the screen with the title press start to start firmware update... so I press it and for the half an our i saw screen with only :

    "Programming
    Please wait..."

How long does the programming take ? I also tried to upgrade it with 1.46 but this same ...
    Anyone have any idea ?

How Can I update from a memcard ?

Better update disk ? - You mean better media ? I'm using Verbatim disks for it

EDIT : Ok I install the app on the memcard and actually i'm updating ps2 from memory card but i think it will also freeze :/

May I have a fake or poor copy of Infinity chip inside ps2 ?

i think that you have a ripper3 in your ps2
older versions of this chip used the 1.21 firmware of the infinity
and when you try to upgrade the firmware it stay's on programming but does not program it because the ripper3 is not reflashable

    grtz
