Try cleaning your laser.
before i try that let me tell you that before i got it modded it worked perfectly and then i tried soldering the mod-chip and accidently burned one of the pads where you solder the wires on the ps2 motherboard so i sent it to gamecubesux and he fixed it and installed the mod chip and then thats when it started not working.

hmm, well. Did u tried all your original discs ?
Burnt pad shouldn't really cause a big problem. Soldering to the bios should be fine. Burnt vias can cause some problems though.
so do you think it's the mod-chip or the laser beacuse as i said the SNES emulator I burned for the PS2 works perfectly It's boots normally it's just the original games that won't boot.
I had an old 400B laser that went bad and I could only boot CD-Rs and CD based originals but DVD stuff wouldn't work. Got a new 400C and everything is peachy now.
Sounds like you are in a similar predicament.
yeah but before the mod-chip it boot games perfectly.
Sounds like a switcheroo. V7's are popular, no?
switcheroo?
I.e. Are you sure you got back the same ps2 that you sent in?
