Tried installing a mi and only blank screen appears

Wondering if you guys could help me...

I have a SCPH-35001 ps2 (guess its a v4 right?)

I installed a Matrix Infinity Chip on it and all could get was a blue screen and nothing more, I took the chip of and still only the blue screen, the power and eject button are working fine, what did I do wrong?

Any help would be much appreciated

check around the bios areas for solder splashes. a blank screen is normally a problem the bios area. also check all the fuses.
