Is there going to be a upgrade to play online?

i have v1.54 and i tryed to hold the start button b4 playing but when the ps2 is disabled it trys to login but the when on the DNAS screen the game freezes. I am using NHL06 original game.
msg back if any 1 knows if the Matrix team is making some sort of upgrade that can bypass the DNAS.

If you hold down the start button and the words 'disabled' come up, you shouldn't have any problems playing original online...

Or just make a copy of it and patch it with your dna's...

I am not sure, and I have not tested it yet,

I have a question about playing Backups online, pure out of interest.

I patch my games with discid's and stuff, and they work good. But to play them online, I should have to disable the matrix chip otherwise the dnas check would fale. But I don't have to disable the chip (otherwise the backup wouldn't boot at all

) and I'm still able to play online with a backup.

Does anyone know how this is possible?

i dont get this. wtf is patch? the games i buy burnt from a store arent they "patched" and ready to play online?

origonals have the code but the backup has a random one (duno y) so you get the id from thge origonal one and patch it to the backup

There's 2 stuff patched on the DNAS image. One is the code that checks the DVD drive and extracts the disc ID to authenticate. It's put a code that aways output the same number and never go actually check the disc. Other is the modchip sniff code that is NOPed out (No OPeration is a CPU instruction that does nothing but takes space and is used to delete code without having to relocate other parts of the program.)

so when i try to login online with a orignal game how come it freezes the game? i disabled the chip n hit the reset button but it freezes the game. so do any of u have a reason? is there a way to make the game not freeze?
