Strange V10 problem

Today I modded a v10 pal, instal is clean. Infinity is green dot.
Powered it up and seemed to work fine, upgraded to fw 1.88, let it play for about 1/2 hour, no problem.
Then let it rest for a while, modded a v9, and powered it up again.
Then the problem occured, black screen ????? tried couple of resets, no luck.
Opened it up again everything looked ok, power on ..... it works, no problem.
assembled it an tried it again, no luck, this time it went to the MATRIX logo :crazy: and got stuck there:banghead: . Reset 4-5 times, worked, reset again just MATRIX logo.
Now it starts up 3 out a 5 times, the other times it got stuck on logo.
Checked, dubble checked, triple checked all the wiring and fuses, everything ok.
Now it seemes that when powering up with eject button there is no problem, when powering up with reset button same problem occures.:chinscrat
The customer makes no problem out of it :) ,but I want to know what is caussing this.:crazy:
Anyone any idea ?

Did you do the romeo mod on these consoles?

is the mod chip not being crushed when you reassemble the whole thing again?

I don't think the chip is crushed, it workes great when powering up with eject button.

Check the ribbon cable on the power button.

I think I found the problem.
Earlier this week a customer brought in a PS2 V9 for repair, it had the same issues. This PS2 I didn't mod, it was done by someone else.
The chip was a Matrix Infinity yellow dot fw 1.75
So I took a look at it cause it wouldn't play anything nomore. Came to the conclusion that the LA-chip was fried ( no romeomod ):banghead:
Customer had a spare MB v10 and asked me if I could replace the chip.
I desoldered the wires and comming to the V3.3 wire it came of by itself .
I soldered the chip on to the spare MB and it worked like a charm :D
So I think that the problem was a bad connection of the V3.3 wire.
