Strange Loading Problem

I recently got a matrix infinity chip installed in my ps2. It seems to work fine when I put in a game and play it for a while, but if I take that game out and put a different one in (regardless of what I was playing or what I've put in) I encounter long loading times and load noises from my ps2. Eventually, games will get stuck on loading screens and on one occasion the screen just went black. I?m pretty sure it?s not a problem with my DVD media and I've been burning between x2 and x4 I would think it was a problem with the laser, but I had a new one fitted at the same time as the chip. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

what brand dvd media are you using and what burner and software are using to burn, does this happen with original disc also?

The DVDs are Panasonic Taiyo Yuden DVD-R, my burner is LG GSA-4163 16X DVD±RW and I’m using DVD Decrypter to burn. I dont actually have any original discs to test it with.

first step would be to get/borrow a original and see if it boots. can you also try and test the dvd's on a friends ps2? if the dvd's are fine it could be the laser or modchip. do psx copies work?
