Starting problems
Starting problems –

I seem to have a problem with my v14 when it starts up. I put a game in the 'tray' and boot it up, and I need to press reset about 3-5 times before it loads up. The only way I can get the thing to boot on the first boot is to load Dev.1 (Codebreaker v9.1) and select some codes, then boot the disc.
Does anyone else this problem?
P.S. I know I have a real Infinity Matrix because it came with 1.68 firmware, and I had to update it to 1.82 firmware.

did the ps2 ever work right ? is this a new install ? did this start happening after you flashed it ?

It was a pre-modded v14 PSTwo with Matrix Infinity (Green Dot). So I don't know if it ever worked 'correctly' before. It came with 1.68 and couldn't boot anything. So I flashed it with 1.82 and now it boots everything.
If it helps I got it from Xmodd.com.

is your problem solved now that you flashed it to v1.82?

No. Let me try this again.
I have a problem booting games with a v14 pre-modded PSTwo bought at http://xmodd.com. It came with an official (NOT clone) Matrix Infinity green dot. The 'factory' flash was 1.68. Nothing played on it at all but a flash disc. Then I flashed it to 1.82, and then that's when all the problems started. I now have to reset the console 3-5 times (three to five times) before any game will load. I have tried booting directly into Dev.1 mode and boot from there, but that no longer works. I have also tried to use 'Auto', 'Fast', and 'DVDR' boot modes and nothing works. I also have tried a tripple reset. (boot the machine, then keep pressing reset repeadedly) Even with all those options I still have to reset 3-5 times (three to five times).

you could take a look at the install and see if you can remedy the problem, or just contact the chipper http://xmodd.com/contact.htm
