so can i use the orange dot on v14 ?

with the new firmware can i use the orange dot on a v14 and then flash it to 1.68 or do i need to flash it before i install it ?

Well, I am not sure, but I don't think it will work. And if it does, probably it will not be stable. It's not without reason that the Matrix Team has produced a new series of Infinity's with special properties regarding the v14.

On other forums I had found this:

"Hab heute ein "alten" Infinity mit dem orangen Punkt noch, also nicht mit dem grünen in eine v12 verbaut und da dann die v1.68 Firmware aufgespielt.

Hab den Chip dann getestet und er lief perfekt in der v12 mit v1.68.
Hab den dann ausgelötet und nach Infinityplan in die v14 verbaut.

Leider bleibt das Bild schwarz beim starten.
Hat wer den "alten" Infinity schon zum laufen gebracht in der v14.

Hab gehört das der mit dem grünen Punkt perfekt läuft!"

This means that the Orange Dot will not work in the V14. You will get a black screen.
