I have the matrix infinty green dot mod-chip can I use the SMS player with this chip installed.
if so can anyone show me how?

But the the basic for booting a app on your ps2 is...
1. download ulaunchelf iso (brooje has a link in his posts in the thread above)
2. run it
3 make a /BOOT/ dir on your memcard
4 copy and rename the elf file on the cd to BOOT.ELF and place it in your BOOT dir on memcard.
5 take out the cd and restart your ps2
6 hold the dev1 button when starting up your ps2 (R1 i think) or enter setup (triangle circle on startup) and activate dev mode 1.
7 Now when you have installed ulaunchelf u can run the sms elf file from a
cd/dvd/net/usb.
