Is it normal for a v14 with a Matrix Infinity to take about 3 times longer to boot a PS1 game then a PS2 game?

PS2 backups boot just like normal.
PS1 seems to take an excessive amount of time

Burnt it at 4x on Maxell PRO CD-R .. which is TY. I'll try another game

Edit: Same with this burn. Same media diff game diff burning software.. Well it seemed a little faster.. but def about 2x slower then a ps2 DVD-R back up. Could it be just becasue its on a CD-R?

its normal that psx games boots slower because the ps2 first have to switch 2 psx mode ln the older days you had to reset a ps2 2times before you entered that mode now the infinity first detects the media then automatic reset without reboot and start the psx game

Is it normal for it to do pretty much the same thing with PS2 backups on CD-R?

I hope not this is a brand new premod

    PSX on CD-R = 36 seconds
    PS2 on CD-R = 31 seconds
    PS2 on DVD-R = 24 seconds

    Times are from power on

Both the CD games are on the same TY media and burnt at 4x
The DVD-R is on TY media and burnt at 4x

these normal boot times? This is my first modded PS2 so i have nothing to compare it to

24 seconds? It takes my PS2 less than 5 for DVD and CD games to get to the PS Logo. Who installed it?

PS2 logo take no time at all. Takes 24 seconds to get to the first game screen after pressing power.

Basicly i turn it on and goes to the "electron" screen then ps2 logo .. Then it goes black untill the game starts (this is where most of the time is wasted) .. that prosess takes 24/30 seconds for PS2 on DVD-R.

Edit: Tryed another game (Soul Calibur 3). It took 30 seconds to get from pressing power to the first game screen.

So i guess it dosnt take much more time to boot PSX. In my first post i said PS2 boots like normal. Guess i was paying to much atention to PSX as after timing them they both are about the same.

I hope this is normal Its been a LONG time since i had a PS2 and this is my first modded one.
